Policies

Karen Hoover, LMBT maintains a professional environment and reserves the right to terminate a session at any time due to disrespectful behavior, intoxication, drug use or sexual advances.  If the session is terminated due to any of these reasons, full payment will be expected.

 

Cancellation

Please provide 24 hours notice for cancellations.  If 24 hours notice is not recieved, the client will be responsible for 1/2 of the session fee.

 

Late Arrival

Please arrive on time for your appointment.  This time has been set aside for you.  Be aware that if you are late for your appointment, the appointment time will be adjusted accordingly.  The appointment will end at the scheduled time and the client is responsible for the full session fee.

 

Hygiene and Draping

Please arrive at your appointment clean.  If you are sick, please call and reschedule your appointment.  Massage is not recommended if you are not well.  Please let the therapist know if you have a contagious illness and the session will be rescheduled.  

The North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy requires that the genitalia regions of both males and females be covered at all times.  If breast work on females is to be performed, written consent must be provided at each session.  Draping protocols will be strictly adhered to.

 

Confidentiality

All information received from the client is strictly confidential.  No information will be shared without client's prior consent.

 

Payment

Payment is expected at the time of service.  Cash, local checks, Visa and Mastercard are accepted.  

 

Existing and New Medical Conditions

The client will be required to complete a health history before the first massage.  It is the client's responsiblity to inform the therapist of any existing medical conditions and disclose any new medical conditions prior to any subsequent sessions.

 

Informed Consent

At the beginning of your first appointment, you will be provided with a copy of all policies and will be asked to sign the consent stating that you have read the policies, understand them and agree to comply with the professional therapeutic massage policies and procedures.
